Everything seemed normal when Charly was first born. She was a healthy baby girl but it began when she did not respond to noises and voices. Upon realising this, her parents brought her for a ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴛᴇsᴛ and the results was ᴛᴇʀʀɪʙʟʏ devastating, her ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ is ɪᴍᴘᴀɪʀᴇᴅ and she needs to use ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ ᴀɪᴅs. Christy Keane said that none of her and husband’s family members have history of ɪᴍᴘᴀɪʀᴇᴅ ʜᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ. Nevertheless, she was grateful that Charly is a beautiful and healthy baby girl and being ᴅᴇᴀғ will not stop them to help Charly achieves for the best in her life.
Christy said in her Instagram:” This is sʜᴏᴄᴋɪɴɢ news, but it’s not sad news. This sweet baby is beautiful and healthy and so capable of achieving everything she wants in life and we will make sure that happens! We didn’t think she would hear anything so this was more incredible than I can put in to words. Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!” Her mother Christy made sure this magical moment stays in their lives forever by recording it. Although Charly is still an infant, you can see how fast she gets really emotional and tries to hold back tears of joy in her eyes.

JOHANNESBURG – A touching moment between a baby and her mother has gone viral as a deaf baby hears her mother say ‘I love you’ for the first time.
Two-month-old Charly Keane, who was born with profound congenital hearing loss that affects both of her ears, has spent the first moments of her life in silence.
Her mother Christy Keane, who is reportedly on the brink of homelessness, has been saving money trying to get baby Charly a hearing aid.
In the video the new born is overcome by emotion and she breaks into a smile as she hears her mother for the first time.
In an Instagram Christy wrote: “We had our miracle moment that I have been praying for when Char got her hearing aids today.”
‘Her journey to implants and language development is off to an amazing start!’
In reports Christy has stated that there are heart-breaking truths about her daughter’s condition but her and baby Charly’s father, Daniel, do not want to dwell of that too much.
‘When this sweet child locks her eyes on mine, I just know she feels our love for her, our protection, and our hopes,’ she says.
The precious moment has gained over 3-million views on Youtube in seven days.
