Bajeneza Liberata, a resilient mother, has been caring for her son since giving birth in a city in Rwanda. Unfortunately, her husband abandoned them, and villagers have subjected them to mockery, labeling the child a “monster.”
Despite her son’s apparent pain, Bajeneza received no medical support from doctors. The father denied any responsibility and cruelly referred to their child as the “devil’s spawn,” leaving Bajeneza alone in the city where she gave birth. Eventually, a kind Samaritan drove her and the child back to their village after several days.
In response to their dire situation, a GoFundMe page was created to raise funds for Bajeneza and her child to receive treatment abroad. So far, over £58,000 has been donated, with generous contributions from compassionate individuals.
Supportive comments poured in, expressing hope for the mother and her child. Many prayed for the baby to receive prompt medical help and comfort, acknowledging their deserving of the best care available.
One person’s heart broke upon seeing the baby cry, emphasizing the urgent need for medical assistance and treatment. Another commenter claimed to recognize the condition, suggesting it could be cloverleaf deformity, also known as Pfeiffer syndrome. This condition occurs when the joints (sutures) between a baby’s skull bones fuse before birth. The severity of the syndrome varies, with the more severe types causing significant abnormalities in the head shape and facial features.
