It is disturbing to hear that a woman has had 10 children in a decade and is expecting 11. Every pregnancy and childbirth carries health risks for the mother and the ƄeƄé, and it is important that women have access to medical care and resources necessary to have safe and healthy pregnancies.
It is also important to consider the impact that having so many children can have on family life, including the financial and emotional resources needed to raise and support each child.

In October 2008, a stay-at-home mom married 32-year-old preacher Chris Rogers and has since given birth to six healthy boys and four healthy girls. Currently, Courtney Rogers, 36, a resident of New Mexico, United States, is in her 33rd week of pregnancy and expects another ƄeƄé on November 19.
This will be their first ƄeƄé of winter, and the couple have spent $1,000 (£780) on gifts for their children, who are between the ages of one and ten, in anticipation of Nativity. Courtney’s life is very hectic, and she only has one “date night” a year with Chris, who drives a 15-passenger van to carry the whole family.
Courtney said, “We’re delighted to be pregnant again,” despite the hectic life they’ve been having. We hope that she has a safe and healthy pregnancy, and that the family has the resources and support they need to raise and care for their children.
“I have always suffered from morning sickness due to two first trimester miscarriages, but I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and so excited. We can’t wait to have this ƄeƄé in our arms. There have been no problems and I have felt fine throughout the pregnancy, although this ƄeƄé has the same due date as the one we gave four years ago at 11 weeks. In the early stages, I was grateful and comforted, but I also felt like I was experiencing the same pregnancy symptoms. I was thrilled to hear her laugh during our morning checkup. I have never had more than three boys or girls in a row, but now that our youngest daughter, Coralie, has passed away, I have set a new record with my fourth daughter in a row. The children are very excited,” he said.
Chris and Courtney spend $1,200 (£936) a month on food for their family and are homeschooling their children. In January, they began a financial boost by eliminating all eating out and unnecessary shopping, which cost them more than $1,000 (£780) a month.
His big draw is a week-long camping trip to visit relatives in Georgia, 1,500 miles away, which costs $1,000 (£780) for travel and expenses. Courtney, who only had eight months between giving birth to Coralie and becoming pregnant again, and Chris forego Christmas gifts so they would have more money to invest in their children.

Kids want us to be like the parents in the movie Cheaper Ƅand the Dozen, who sacrifice their careers to raise 12 children. Multiple children in diapers and a large number of strollers are a common part of our lives,” Courtney said.
Although she is expecting an eleventh child, she does not believe this will increase her workload. Courtney said: “I don’t think it will significantly alter our daily schedule. This will be our first child born during the Christmas season, a week before Thanksgiving and not long before Christmas, so things will be a little different. That will undoubtedly make the celebrations more hectic and expansive. Still, I hope I feel well enough to enjoy the festivities. I love being pregnant.”
Courtney has never had a period and chooses not to use birth control, which she doesn’t think is her fault. “I enjoy conceiving a child, imagining what it would be like and choosing its name. I am the only mother in our church with a large family. I think the most anyone has is four children, but I’ve never felt comfortable traveling there as I don’t like the idea of taking vacations and I love having a large family,” she said.
