As the light illuminated the African settlement, I was in amazement. A freshly constructed well brought delight to children who had struggled for clean water. Their bright grins showed a renewed optimism.
These youngsters could now obtain the life-giving elixir without traveling far or carrying heavy water jugs. Their innocence shone through as they splashed and played, laughing. Clean water liberated people from thirst and laid the groundwork for a better future.
