9 Year-Old Fɪɢʜᴛɪɴg Multiple Health Conditions Brings Smiles And Her Life Is Inspiring Millions
A girl who’s been ʜᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟɪᴢᴇᴅ for most of her life is inspiring millions with her ᴄᴏɴᴛᴀɢɪᴏᴜs spirit. The nine-year-old Saskatchewan girl, diagnosed with three rare medical conditions at birth, is dancing and smiling her way through life as she shares her challenging journey with the world.
When Kyla, became pregnant in 2013 with her first chilld, no doctor told her or her husband, Lyle, that anything was wrong with their fetus. Their daughter was born on December 6, 2013. Approximately one in 58,000 babies are born in the U.S. with this condition every year, according to KidsHealth.
Isabella Thompson 9, was born with ʜɪʀsᴄʜsᴘʀᴜɴɢ’s ᴅɪsᴇᴀsᴇ, sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ ᴄᴏᴍʙɪɴᴇᴅ ɪᴍᴍᴜɴᴏᴅᴇFɪᴄɪᴇɴᴄʏ and a form of ᴅᴡᴀʀFɪsᴍ. Bella has had 21 ᴛʀᴀɴsᴘʟᴀɴᴛ, ɪɴᴄʟᴜᴅɪɴɢ a bone marrow ᴛʀᴀɴsᴘʟᴀɴᴛ, and is on the wait list for a ʙᴏᴡᴇl. ᴘɪᴛɪFᴜʟ for a child so young who had to ᴜɴᴅᴇʀɢᴏ ᴍᴀɴʏ sᴜʀɢᴇʀɪᴇs. But her Fɪɢʜᴛɪɴg spirit, optimism, refused to surrender to fate. made her parents proud, she is their motivation.

Thompson, also mom to 2-year-old Waylon, said Bella visits Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current monthly to receive ɪɴFᴜsɪᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇʀᴀᴘʏ for her SCID. During her ᴛʀᴇᴀᴛᴍᴇɴᴛs, Thompson documents and shares Bella’s journey on Instagram and TikTok, where millions have reacted to her sparkling personality.

On Jan. 29, Thompson shared a video on TikTok of Bella dancing to a song from the popular kids’ film “Trolls.” The footage garnered 4 million views, and Thompson said she received many heartfelt messages and well wishes for Bella.
“Cognitively, she’s a very smart kid, She goes to school. None of this affects her brain at all. I’ve always been really impressed at how Isabella and her family are happy and adjusted … despite of what she’s had to go through.” Au said
Bella enjoys singing, dancing, Legos, hiking, playing in the snow and reading comments from her followers.
