A Heart-Warming Photo Shoot Of An Odessa Mom Who Gave Birth To The First Quintuplets In Her Country

37-year-old Oksana Kobeletskaya from Odessa had sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd Uᴋʀᴀɪɴᴇ by giving birth to 5 babies on July 24th in city maternity centre. A birth of quintuplets is believed to be a Uɴɪqᴜᴇ case for Uᴋʀᴀɪɴᴇ. After an easy pregnancy she successfully ᴅᴇʟɪᴠᴇʀᴇᴅ two Gɪʀʟs and three Bᴏʏs via c-section.

She and her husBᴀɴd discovered the surprising fact during the first ultrasound check. The pair has one child already, a 3-year-old daughter. Thus, now they are parents of 6 kids.

Ukrainian couple had given names to their babies the same day they were born: Aleksandra, Dariya, Denis, Vladislav and David.

The babies are considered to be the first quintuplets in their country. Though the hospital staff were excited, the parents were less so, as they were not prepared for such a big family, and it was going to be quite an adjustment. Kobeletska recalled: “It almost felt like a nightmare, as if I would wake up at any time. I mean, how would we manage to take care of so many children?”

Odessa city officials gave the big family a 100-square-meter apartment to celebrate the newborns. Today, the quints are around 17 months old. On her Instagram, the proud mom posted adorable photos of the children’s progress—the “five pearls” with their adoring older sister

“Denis, Vlad, David, Sasha and Dasha pleasantly sᴜʀᴘʀɪsᴇd us, because in their 2 months it was easier to work with them than we expected – kids slept sweetly, and we have created a wonderful story of love and friendship, which, I am sure began in a mother’s tummy for them and their parents “- photographer Julia Guseva shared her emotions on Instagram.
