A Decade Later: Checking in on the American Couple and Their Sextuplets Who Captivated the Nation.SHD

On June 9, 2010, 6 beautiful angels, 4 boys and 2 girls were born at the same time, surprising American public opinion. At that time, not only the rare 6th birth was finally round and square in the relief of many people, but also because the image revealed later by the couple from Ohio also made many hearts melt. 6 babies sleeping soundly, rolling on their father’s back seems exhausted because they have to take care of “tiny football team” at the same time. Such a beautiful image that everyone remembers forever.

The first picture of the McGhee family makes the public go crazy because it’s so cute

This is truly a miracle for the McGhee family when the couple Ro and Mia have been waiting for 10 years to finally have their own sweet fruits of love. However, the process of carrying 6 babies was another difficult experience that they had to go through until the day Elijah, Issac, Josiah, Madison, Olivia and Rozonno Jr were born.

They were born prematurely when they were only 27 weeks old in the womb. But luckily, all 6 children have been strong through the difficult early stages of life, without any major problems and growing up completely healthy.

Taking care of 6 babies makes their family suddenly extremely busy. Talking to Ro and Mia, the couple said that during the time when the children were babies, their days revolved around things like changing diapers, feeding them on time, lulling them to sleep and taking advantage of cleaning.

It is when children start to walk, learn to speak and become naughty children that are really difficult. They run around the house, playing, making noise. Each child is a different personality that parents always have a headache to find ways to reconcile and balance the members with each other.

In 2016, when the McGhee children were 6 years old and starting school, they appeared on the reality show “Grow Up McGhee” on UPtv, recording a day as a family of eight and how Ro and Mia’s parents had to “cope” with this army of children.

Continuity is the announcement of the time like the military. The first to wake up were Mia’s mother and Ro’s father. At 5am, they prepare 6 pairs of socks, 6 sets of clothes, 6 pairs of shoes, 6 food boxes, 6 toothbrushes, 6 face towels. Put them neatly in order on the chair and proceed to the room to wake the babies one by one from the bed.

At 6:30 a.m., the house will be like a broken bee. But according to the “edict” Ro’s father issued, at 7:15, all children must be ready so as not to miss the bus to school at 7:30. Everything is in such a frame, but sometimes it is inevitable to be deviated from the trajectory. For example, when the kids brush their teeth together in the bathroom but the sink ends up clogged with water.

It must be very difficult to find the person who left the toothbrush in the sink as a deterrent. Sometimes, none of them admit fault. But sometimes all 6 children say it’s their fault, causing their parents to have a lot of stress.

Every day is really a battle but looking back 10 years have passed. Recently, the McGhee family has reappeared in the media to update about the changes in their family. Elijah, Issac, Josiah, Madison, Olivia and Rozonno Jr turned 10 this past June and are in third grade at the same elementary school.

The children seem to have grown up when they know how to help their parents with chores around the house. But Mia said, her house is getting more and more noisy because now all 6 children have their own opinions and often have heated arguments.

The whole family is living in a house with 4 bedrooms. Two girls will share a room, and four boys will share two rooms. Ba Ro said that sometimes, the whole family is 8 people but divided into 2 different factions. Sadly, often the parents end up on the same side and have to contend with the other side that has an overwhelming number of members.

The McGhees also admit they’ve “survived” a decade of grappling with parenting, and say she and her husband still have a lot to learn: “Sometimes I feel like I’m going crazy. We’ve learned what it really is like to be a parent of six kids. They argue with each other every day, but they’re always close brothers and sisters. It’s also the journey that I look forward to having the best friends, the luckiest of all. accompany each other and grow up every day.
